Riding lessons are on offer throughout Northwest Iceland. You will be able to find lessons and courses to suit anyone, novices and professionals alike. Riding lessons are a good way to learn how to control the horse or to improve one‘s riding skills. Only very reliable horses are used for beginners, who will be taught basic riding and given useful information about the horse and all the necessary gear. Full tackle and safety helmets are included where appropriate. During winter time riding lessons will normally be given inside one of the area‘s large riding halls but in the summer they may be held in appropriate facilities outdoors and sometimes also include rides out in the open.
