Icehorse - Horse Adventure in Iceland

In the Northwest various events having to do with the Icelandic horse are quite frequent. Without doubt the most widely known is the Landsmót which every fourth year is held at Vindheimamelar in Skagafjörður. Annual events include the Ís-landsmót on the icy lake of Svínavatn in March and the International Horse Event in Sauðárkrókur in April. The area is also well known for its many different horse round-ups which attract numerous visitors every autumn.
