Fully experience Iceland through the Icelandic horse
Horses and horse riding have been an important factor of the Icelandic culture ever since the Norse settlement, more than 1100 years ago. For centuries horse riding was virtually the only means of travel in the country, apart from on foot. Today the Icelandic horse still plays a vital role in the lifes of thousands of Icelanders, as well as gaining increasing popularity abroad. Many of our foreign guests claim that the only way to fully experience Iceland is through the Icelandic horse.
Members of the Icehorse-group in Northwest Iceland have a long experience in horse related activities, such as horse
rental, longer tours, horse shows and riding lessons.
