The Skrapatungurétt is held on a Sunday around the middle of September each year. In this round-up the horses which have spent the summer grazing in the Laxárdalur valley are brought home. The horses are fetched on the Saturday, and some tour operators offer the opportunity to take part in that. For many the round-up ball in the evening is the highlight of the weekend.
