The biannual Landsmót is by far the biggest event focusing on the Icelandic horse and will each time attract thousands of horse enthusiasts, Icelanders and foreigners alike. All the best horses and riders area gathered in one place for competition purposes. The visitor – of whatever age - enjoys a week of watching quality horsemanship and excellent horses, mingling with other horse fans and taking part in the singing and general enjoying oneself that characterise any large horse event in Iceland.

The 19th Landsmót will be held at Vindheimamelar in Skagafjordur in 2010, lasting from June 28^th until July 4^th.
